Lovely black fruits, liquorice, and spicy peppers on the nose. The taste shows a very integrated dark fruit profile, with menthol dominating the mid-palate. Lower acidity levels but with round, soft tannins. Medium-length finish with some tar and liquorice. Interesting to drink this 30-year-old wine alongside more recent vintages, showcasing the relative freshness and age-worthiness of Grosset Gaia. |
