3/4/2017 - Whine-oh Likes this wine: 90 pointsPopped and poured tableside at restaurant tonight. Nice California/Napa valley version of the Bordeaux blend. Soft, easy to drink New World Cabernet best one. Still a good place as compared to 3+ years ago when we drink the first bottle. Don't see any reason to hold onto these at this point. Ready to go tonight and the good first starter of a night of Cabernets. |

9/27/2014 - Whine-oh wrote: 88 pointspopped and poured. Nice right out of the bottle, but quickly lost its wonderfully aged Cali Cab luster. Maybe it was the flavorful food that over powered this delicately aged cab. Fruit there but reticent. Tannins resolved but still a little bite at the back end of this wine. Not sure of the provenance, but by the end of our dinner it seemed to have faded. We felt while it was not unpleasant a bit over the hill. Drink up. Still fun to taste. |

6/24/2011 - Whine-oh wrote: 89 pointsP n p at dinner out in PS. Dark red in glass, no bricking with fine sediment in bottle. Nose of sweet red fruits some mint and cedar. Lots of primary fruit left in this. Just a bit out of balance on the midpalate to not make it a wow wine. Mild tannins on the back end, enough acicity to handle the night's food well. A nice aged qpr napa cab. Still apprears to have some time left in it, not sure it will get better though. |

4/3/2010 - Whine-oh Likes this wine: 89 pointsNice new world cab. dark ruby. Some dark fruit that jump out of the glass, with some wood in there too. Subtle dark fruit to this. Enjoyable right out of the bottle. Mellow tannins that held it together well. Best by itself, as it did not go well with the sweet ham entree served. For under $10, this was a great qpr for a new world cab fan. |
