It's like Christmas, but not really. I reconciled my real inventory against CellarTracker inventory. CT shows that I have these wines, but I don't. These probably belong to someone, just not me. This twelve bottles show as purchased on December 3, 2023. They are all found in Location "Cellar" and the Bin is "n/a".

Looks like all the wines came from "Great Wine Buys". Maybe I should know what that is, but I don't.

Al, I see all of these wines in your transaction history. I see the web logs that also line up directly. An IP address in Portland. Logged into your account. Not spoofed. Real deal. Secure.

Did you login at a friend's house or on their mobile phone? I see a busy bee chunk of activity. Then the user logs out and goes into this account: https://www.cellartracker.com/useradmin.asp?iUserOverride=794766

BTW, I really recommend you email support@cellartracker.com so we can do this sort of crap privately.

I'm drinking wine tonight alongside a rather large helping of crow.

These wines are real and were added by a real person. That person is one of my closest friends. I was using his device to show him how to use CT and neglected to log off. This was weeks or months ago. The next time he used his device, which was December 3rd, CT remembered me and logged me in. He happily added wines to my account. At the end of his session, he said he "sort of noticed" that he had 319 bottles of wine. My friend actually has about 5 and was adding 12 more. He planned on keeping this a secret from me for whatever reason. It all came out today when I reconciled my inventory.

Never, never share your credentials with anyone. And if you use a device that is not yours, be sure to log off when you complete your session. I should have known this.

I am sorry if I caused anyone to doubt CT. CT is as solid as ever for tracking your wines and also quite secure.

Back to my humble wine...

My recommendation would be to impose a 2 bottle wine tax on his/her use of your account. Pick whichever two you want and they belong to you.
