Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.
What a feast! Aged Bordeaux. We all loved it.
1998 Château Léoville Barton 92 Points
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
In the bouquet dark berries, minerals and beautifully dosed oak. On the palate an elegant wine with fresh acidity, dark and red berries, beautiful oak and cedar, good acidity and tannin with still enough power for some more years. Beautiful and classical wine.

2000 Château Duhart-Milon 93 Points
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Very beautiful bouquet with dark berries, beautiful oak and cedar and graphite. Same impressions on the palate, some smoke, cocoa and beautiful acidity, round tannin with still a pleasant bite. Great length. Very beautiful wine in its maturity stage, but no hurry.

2000 Château d'Armailhac 93 Points
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Beautiful and deep bouquet, a bit rustic, but also luxurious with beautiful oak, cedar and cigar box, plums and graphite as well. On the palate beautifully ripe dark berries which give a round and juicy mouth feel. Great length. Beautiful wine at its peak now and no real hurry. 92 – 93.
