To try Pauillac at different stages, from 1979 Chateau Lafite to 2009 D'armailhac
Past its peak, mature but drinking well with silky finish. Typical aged nose medicinal sweet dried fruits. Med body and med+ finish. Drink up soon.

1 hour decant, in its peak now. Complex, minerals, silky, balance. Med+ body and very long finishing. Delicious!

Decant 1 hour, beautiful nose, med+ body, damp earth, balance. Perfect time to drink now. Long finishing.
1 hour decant, Med to full body, tobacco, oak, nice integrated. Long finishing.
2 hours decant, not much showing at the monent. The wine is still in its infant stage. Pretty much closed. Try again in 5 years.
4 hours decant, need probably another hour or two, so we slowly drink it. Still tight and disjoint but the complexity & minerals are promising. Good 45s+ finishing. Need over 10 years.
