France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Sulphured out the wazoo. Nice material buried deep underneath with melons, lemons, and some smokey tones. Will need to think about when to open my other bottles.
young and firm this had incredibly bright citrus and floral notes with some earthy tones underneath. acidity was off the charts with lemon and grapefruit tones on the finish.
This was my favorite from LF's new releases. Trim and sleek there's a lot of cool minerality, melon, and pear throughout. Nicely balanced and deep, I thought this was absolutely fantastic.
A bit richer than the White Hill, this had more floral and apple tones to it. I also noticed a hair of sweetness to it that neither the 4 or the White Hill had. Good acidity on the finish was very nice too.
A pretty hefty chardonnay that had a waxy lemon sweetness on the palate. Some chalky minerality complimented the pears and apples on the palate. Very well made chardonnay.
USA, California, Central Coast, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara
A little fuzzy today. Didn't have the freshness and precision it had all last summer, but had some really funky notes from the mourvedre. Still a very good rose.
Typically not a wine that I find myself loving, but this seemed nicely balanced and fresh. Robust grapefruit and lemon tones with a somewhat waxy feel to it. Decent acidity on the finish. #guiltypleasure
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Lots of waxy lemons and some butterscotch. Teetering on the brink of old age (for me) this was still holding onto some saline and pear notes from earlier days.
Very good entry level. The Bourgogne Blacn from Roulot is impressive year in, year out and this had a really pretty gun flint aromas with clean, crisp citrus notes.
Sleek and clean I'm used to fruit from James Berry to be powerful, robust and tropical. Much more of a chablis-type character with some saline notes, lemon, pears and minerals. Very good.
Might be my favorite Rhys chardonnay to date. A vibrant wine with lots of fruit, texture and balance. Definitely a broad-shouldered wine, but with lots of personality and balance. Very good!
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru
Had a nice, firm backbone to it. Really liked the aromas of subtle flint, sweet lemons, and pears. Great minerality and lush fruit made this a very nice Saint-Aubin. Super good.
this was the first Coteaux Champenois I've had from Ledru and thought it was a bit tight on night #1. tonight is night #2 and the flavors have developed a bit more. more florals, more earthy. very good.
Another great showing. On day 1, the florals really were amped up and the lychee was zippy. On day 2, there was a lot more mushroom and earth emerging. Just a great wine that pushes the boundaries of what you know or think you know about wine.
NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 90 Points
France, Champagne
Seemed a bit fatter and richer than some of the other Grande Cuvee's I've had lately. Still quite good.

think adrian described this nicely; "pineapple gummy bear explosion". Uber tropical, lithe palate, great acidity.
