A fascinating combination of earth and spice notes on the palate that I cannot pinpoint. Fruit is perhaps a mix of cherry and red plum. Great balance, easy drinking, yet strong enough for our meatballs and red sauce. I loved this at a restaurant and loved it at home. Will look for more. (1460 views) |

This was a pleasant bottle, with some faint tobacco and asphalt on the red-cherry-infused nose.
Very light on it's feet, and easy to drink. The tannins are still present, enough to give interesting structure, alongside the refreshing and energetic acidity. Tart, red cherry pit is joined by a hint of plum, followed by some rocks and tobacco.
Very tasty, I would consume these bottles through 2018 or so. Quite nice. (1194 views) |
