Big saturated wine but smooth and I can understand why this producer developed a following. | | Tasted by Z1nnfull on 1/16/2017 & rated 91 points: Another great Mollydooker Aussie offering. This was 69% Shiraz, 16% Cab, 15% Merlot. This was a little smoother than some of their wines which are typically on the robust side, but this is 5 years old and had a little Merlot in it. Great, great Shiraz-dominated taste, mouth filling and elegant. Wine was inky as you would expect. The alcohol was 16%, but surprisingly it was well-integrated and not "hot". I would drink this now, if you find more recent vintages, I would think they would be approachable with aerating and decanting.

For me the alcohol is too high. Still this is a well made wine - I will let the bottle breath more to see if it improves.
