Tasted by redhead6971 on 11/26/2018 & rated 89 points: Lots of white pepper, dark berries and plum, boysenberries on the nose. The palate is coats the mouth with fine Asian spices, blackberries, pepper and vanilla. Great balance not over extracted or overripe. Drink now through 2021. (1891 views)
Tasted by btock on 5/25/2018 & rated 88 points: Enjoyed this more than I expected. Despite being 16% held together well and not overly hot. Big saturated wine but smooth and I can understand why this producer developed a following. Purple going on black coloring, the cab and merlot in the blend took a bit off the edge and that was appreciated. Serve with something grilled. Ready now. (1990 views)
Tasted by Echodog on 5/26/2017 & rated 90 points: Inky dark red on rim of glass. Powerful aromas of dark fruit almost knock you out instantly as you wait for the 1 hour decant. Tastes of dark fruit and licorice are wonderfully blended in this full body powerhouse of a wine. Two left thumbs up! (2589 views)
Tasted by Z1nnfull on 1/16/2017 & rated 91 points: Another great Mollydooker Aussie offering. This was 69% Shiraz, 16% Cab, 15% Merlot. This was a little smoother than some of their wines which are typically on the robust side, but this is 5 years old and had a little Merlot in it. Great, great Shiraz-dominated taste, mouth filling and elegant. Wine was inky as you would expect. The alcohol was 16%, but surprisingly it was well-integrated and not "hot". I would drink this now, if you find more recent vintages, I would think they would be approachable with aerating and decanting.
We recommend practically all the wines these folks make., (2924 views)
Tasted by JohnRachelWine on 5/21/2016 & rated 92 points: Fantastic. Going to give the other bottle another year. (3154 views)
Tasted by Echodog on 5/9/2016 & rated 90 points: Another winner from Molly Dooker. Dark purple on rim of glass, with a huge body of fruit. Lots of pepper and high alcohol. This is only to be purchased if you like a big bold wine. I would recommend a hearty meal to go along with this. (2653 views)
Tasted by shellylowen on 11/12/2015 & rated 90 points: Heavy body, smooth tannins, black fruits, a little harsh on the finish or it would rate higher. No harshness after two days. (2962 views)
Tasted by EdKz@comcast.net on 7/27/2015 & rated 86 points: deep ruby, medium/full body, modest aroma, red fruit forward, straightforward finish, new world 90/old world 82 (2778 views)
Tasted by Ron&nina on 5/14/2015 & rated 93 points: Really love this wine. Great body and fruit intensity. If you don't like jammy wines than stay away from this one. (2723 views)
Tasted by ewasowicz on 5/12/2015 & rated 95 points: Nose: dark fruit, tobacco and just awesome. I love the nose of this wine.
Taste: dark fruit bomb, smooooooooth with a long finish. What a great value. (2208 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 3/18/2015 & rated 90 points: consistent with notes of 1/5/2015 (2508 views)
Tasted by Randito on 3/7/2015 & rated 87 points: Expected more concentration and complexity. The screw on cap should of tipped me off. (2105 views)
Tasted by Jason.Gislason on 2/6/2015: The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like cranberry, plum and pomegranate. It tastes like cranberry, prune, plum, pomegranate, stoniness and nutmeg. The body is medium. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. The wine had a fragmented taste profile with a harsh pungent middle. (2124 views)
Tasted by MB Wine Guy on 2/6/2015 & rated 92 points: Plush and delightful with red and black fruit, spice cake and light pepper notes weaving together smoothly through the effortless finish (1923 views)
Tasted by gew71walsh on 1/10/2015 & rated 89 points: Drank opened bottle on second day and it had smoothed out. Licorice, spicy. This is a nice drinking wine. Had without food. (1900 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 1/5/2015 & rated 90 points: Typical Mollydooker entry wine, black fruit, plum, licorice that needs a little air to calm down. Smooth and rich (1773 views)
Tasted by jctra on 12/28/2014 & rated 90 points: The Australian answer to Orin Swift. (1784 views)
Tasted by pupaes on 12/23/2014 & rated 91 points: air for at least an hour. huge, extracted. nose of alcohol, mocha and berries. big, sweet finish. alcohol not apparent at the finish. if this works with any food it would be an enormous, heavily marinated steak. decent QPR. wonderful vintage year for the region.  Tasted by harley-dawg2001 on 11/29/2014 & rated 90 points: Taste cherry, very smooth (1849 views)
Tasted by stubbie999 on 10/10/2014: The request was for a cocktail wine, not too sour or acidic. This fit the bill. As a bonus, it brought boozy alcohol to the table too. (2155 views)
Tasted by mpholiday on 7/31/2014 & rated 91 points: Consumed with a creole dish... and it paired fantastically. As with most Mollydooker wine, the shake must accompany any consumption, to get the fullness of what this wine offers. (2441 views)
Tasted by safetyengineer on 7/20/2014 & rated 88 points: Good black fruit on the nose, dark red color, high alcohol (16% on label), and taste is Shiraz but rather flat and not as good as its sister blend - The Boxer. For me the alcohol is too high. Still this is a well made wine - I will let the bottle breath more to see if it improves.
After +1.5hrs - very little nose remains, and no significant change to the taste. So my rating remains. (2523 views)
Tasted by HarveyLarvae on 7/4/2014 & rated 86 points: Comin in hot! (2488 views)
Tasted by marcellevi on 6/30/2014 & rated 89 points: Good Mollydooker with blueberry jam, bold character and all, but not as memorable as prior vintages which garner 90's and 91's. (2385 views)
