Tasted by csillabu on 12/23/2016 & rated 91 points: Balanced and smooth with a medium finish. A really good blend that is drinking really well right now. (1223 views)
Tasted by Chili on 11/29/2015 & rated 87 points: Hard to guess what was in other than zin- primo and ps- benefitted from a lot of air time (1069 views)
Tasted by Chili on 12/26/2014 & rated 88 points: Ready to drink easy balanced wine with fine tannins (1373 views)
Tasted by gingerbreadman on 6/5/2014 & rated 88 points: Earthy with decent plum fruit but thin tannins. It seems to have lost some complexity and balance with age. (1557 views)
Tasted by rxlaw95 on 10/20/2013 & rated 92 points: This is just a really solid and interesting wine that I had over two days. I did not like most of what Bella did beyond the estate zin but this one was good. (1939 views)
Tasted by blabbott on 2/26/2013 & rated 88 points: Light nose, dusty, earthy flavors mingle with black fruit and medium tannins. I'm not sure this is my favorite vintage of the cuvée, but it is quite pleasant with a nice medium long finish of earth and lingering fruit. (1653 views)
Tasted by Foodievines on 2/7/2013 & rated 88 points: nice wine after opening up for an hour. nice fruit and earth. great quaffing wine. (1520 views)
Tasted by gingerbreadman on 11/23/2012 & rated 90 points: Yum. Some acidity with light tannins. Dried fruit. (1334 views)
Tasted by ppaluszewski on 6/7/2012 & rated 86 points: A bit tannic and unbalanced right now with limited fruit coming through. Some dark, jammy fruit and earthiness on the nose initially, but not much fruit beyond that. In the mouth, the fruit quickly fades away to an earthy, mushroomy character and the palate becomes overwhelmed by tannins. Some sweet oak provides a redeeming quality, but this by itself will not save this wine. Not Bella's best effort for this particular bottling. PJP 2012. (1465 views)
Tasted by vinorsk on 2/3/2012 & rated 84 points: A nice big red, but nothing to write home about. Well made but unmemorable and unremarkable. (1596 views)
Tasted by MilesOfDenver on 12/22/2011 & rated 89 points: Jammy delicious black berries with a lovely balance of acidity. This may be the best Bella I've tasted. (1328 views)
Tasted by Chili on 2/14/2011 & rated 87 points: More chewy that the first bottle-strangley but paired oddly w other bottles and lamb/lentil dish made for birmingchangs (1703 views)
Tasted by Chili on 1/7/2011 & rated 91 points: Fighting over last sips-silky tannins but robust fruits- just lovely on a Friday pasta and movie night (1728 views)
Tasted by sawilli4 on 12/24/2010 & rated 92 points: Fruit forward. Smooth finish. Great wine!!! (1740 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
