Tasted by iByron on 7/13/2014 & rated 87 points: Pale gold in the glass. Lime and green apple on the nose and the palate intro'd by bracing acidity and flanked by cement. Shellfish, white flesh fish, raw greens, ceviche all appropriate pairings. (1518 views)
Tasted by Dan L on 12/4/2013 & rated 88 points: Consistent notes from last bottle. Wish I had more. (1676 views)
Tasted by Weston3220 on 11/27/2013: Enjoyable, mouthfeel was pretty savory with great acidity refreshing touch of development going on drink up I say (1479 views)
Tasted by Dan L on 7/10/2013 & rated 89 points: I'm on a streak of good wines lately, and this is another one. For me it is heavier than a sauv blanc, but doesn't have as much body as a chard. It paired well with our spinach and mushroom tart, but the wine itself was a little tart on its own. With alcohol below 10% it's a good choice on a week night. It was different and I liked it.  Tasted by iByron on 4/16/2013 & rated 88 points: My first foray into the Savoie. Golden beige in color. Intense flinty, guincey nose with a hint of soft petrol. Firm acidity hits on the palate and cuts straight through to the finish. Green apple, lemon, stone, and clean hay are conjured on the tongue. Bracing yet complex. Acidity more than compensates for the low alcohol almost completely hiding any residual sugar. Or perhaps the grapes were picked before fully ripe (must learn more). In any case this is a great spring and summer food wine. Crisp greens, ceviche, sushi, apple celery salad all come to mind. Would also make a great aperitif for a heavier white meat meal. Drink it this summer. They'll make more for next year. (2107 views)
Tasted by hutch on 3/7/2011 & rated 88 points: So piercing. But it's still delicious and yummy. 88+ (1556 views)

Jacquère

Jacquère is a variety of white grape found primarily in the Savoy wine region of France. It is a high-yielding vine variety which is used to produce lightly scented, refreshing and gently aromatic dry white wine, such as Vin de Savoie. Jacquère is the grape used in Apremont wines and is the usual wine paired with cheese fondue (a dish from the same region).

It is also found in Bugey wines. Jacquère has been grown in some Condrieu vineyards, but it is officially not allowed to be used in Condrieu AOC wine. DNA testing has shown its origins to be Gouais blanc and another unknown. Jacquère is thought to be of French origin.
