Tasted by dmaharaj on 10/20/2011 & rated 90 points: Really enjoyable Grenache. It's drinking perfectly right now but could go a few more years. Color was of dried red raspberrys with some transparency but not too much. Aromas of strawberry and bright red fruit. Balanced mouth feel, just right between the fruit and good structure and somewhat long lasting finish (1977 views)
Tasted by lanche50 on 6/6/2011 & rated 90 points: Delicious, drank it at the camp fire while eating some great spicy tacos, complemented the spices very well. (1959 views)
Tasted by Patches on 2/11/2011: A little Pinotesque. Aromas of dried red fruit, violet and baking spice. Full bodied and ripe yet also restrained and elegant. (1936 views)
Tasted by kstoddard on 7/4/2009 & rated 88 points: French oak nose. Red berry fruit. Chewy tannin. Plumb finish. (2226 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 3/12/2009: Lively fruit, certainly big rich wine. But more interesting than most Napa cabs at the price. Short finish. But just open, will it broaden out? (2353 views)
Tasted by nzinkgraf on 3/2/2009: mild red/purple hue. lots of new oak flying off the nose. very aromatic. obviously lots of fruit hanging out in this wine, but for the moment a bit obscured by a plethora of oak aromas. tobacco. cedar. DARK chocolate. blackberry. so hot on the palate. 15.5% abv. toooooo much for my taste. (1231 views)
Tasted by jjclips2 on 7/4/2008 & rated 88 points: I think I'll one up Parker with an 88. The aromatics were the highlight for me. Just gorgeous nose, reminiscent of a well made Gigondas. Sweet kirsch, slight spice, almost heady with a touch of scorched earth. Palate is filled with juicy red cherry and red currants, bitter chocolate, fairly soft mouthfeel, medium bodied, and just juicy. (1235 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
