This feels a bit confected with slightly smoky, grapey fruit, although at times a nice red cherry tone shines through. Decent structure and acidity, but still a bit flat overall. (684 views) | | Tasted by jesi1882@gmail.com on 1/8/2022 & rated 87 points: Leather seared beef eucalyptus menthol pepper. Super fresh, like a pool, wood but not oak, like spruce or pine
(Pool-it smells like the racquet club because of the pool and the eucalyptus trees back by the track!)
Pine/eucalyptus prominent palate, red/black fruit after, white pepper, mild tannins, stick to upper front gums but not too strong,
Second glass cocoa powder cinnamon then the sharpest part of tiger balm aroma
3.8
Ever more intense Mexican cocoa

(923 views) | | Tasted by Dandemain on 11/12/2021 & rated 93 points: Paired well with pasta in a red sauce (965 views) | | Tasted by winedupe on 11/11/2021 & rated 75 points: I bought this because I read raves about their 2017 GSM, but my store did not have the 2017 GSM, only the 2017 Shiraz, so I thought I would give it a try at $8.33. This is one of the lousiest wines I have had in recent memory. Quite harsh, with a metallic aftertaste. I will not be buying a case. (1034 views) | | Tasted by Peyton in Texas on 11/4/2020 & rated 80 points: A weak attempt at a GSM. Thin, uninspired. Even at value wine prices, this was disappointing. (1230 views) | | Tasted by SMireau on 10/2/2020 & rated 75 points: Dry yet fruity. A bit light for my taste. Cherry notes and a bit of pepper. Needs time in the glass. (752 views) | | Tasted by despore on 9/26/2020 & rated 88 points: Spouse loves this wine, easy drinking, fruit driven GSM at a low price point. (750 views) | | Tasted by FLI on 6/18/2020 & rated 80 points: Yikes. Past vintages were cheap and cheerful. This just cheap. (840 views) | | Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 1/17/2020: Mint and herb and with some full fruit and also acidity. Made wine, but in a good way. (1129 views) | | Tasted by AMC Eagle on 7/15/2019 & rated 88 points: Unscrewed and pour. Has a diffused light-medium ruby-cherry in colour; nose of minty blackberries and woody plums. On the palate, there are blackberries and boysenberries with some Lipton's tea. Light-medium bodied with a short finish; some tartiness at the end. Like the white from a few days ago, this is a nicely priced Aussie shiraz for a wallet friendly price of 8 and change. Drink now. (614 views) |
